Design à Quatre is the name under four Applied Arts schools united, in Pays de la loire, west of France.
This unification was in need of visual identity, which could be adapted to each school.
The use of Futura font, one of the the representative elements of the bauhaus design style, was almost immediately obvious for me: The Bauhaus was founded with the idea of creating a “total” work of art in which all arts, including architecture, would eventually be brought together.
Each of those 4 schools is the leader in teaching a major domain of applied arts.
-Graphic Design (Graphisme)
-Architecture (Design Espace)
-Product Design (Design Produit)
And by creating ‘Design à Quatre’ the same idea of bringing all applied arts together was set.
After the font choice, hardest work wast to create accurate and evocative color palettes.
Here is the unified logo and the 4 logos, one of each school and alternate color creations.
